Salut. Je m'appelle Lauren French. Je suis un Designer par excellence au Sockeye.  J'adore long walks on the beach and guess what? I'm not actually French?

I love stories and genuine brand expressions and believe being intentional and thoughtful will get you further than anything else out there. I’m happiest figuring out what resonates and chasing expansive ideas. I work well on my own but love working together to get to that big idea. If you’re putting something out into the world - it better be good and different and for a reason.

I'm a designer from Detroit who now lives in Portland. I recently bought a midcentury ranch and have discovered homeownership is my biggest creative undertaking yet. When I'm not retiling a floor, building a closet or painting a wall, you’ll find me in the kitchen or the garden (because food IS love), drawing type or calligraphy, caring for all my plant babies, and cuddling with my dog (Mochi).

If you'd like to collaborate / meet for tea (or an old fashioned), drop me a line at
lauren.e.french[at] - à bientôt!

Making toast, like really good toast. I enjoy working with others in a collaborative environment. I know my way around Adobe Creative Suite, batik, screen printing, photography (both digital and traditional). I'm comfortable with brush pens, No. 2 pencils and india ink. I love print. Like, LOVE it.
